Twitter Grader

Okay, too many people on twitter have to have something to brag about. From the number of followers (those that use those follower schemes love to brag on this number) to how great their retweet score is (how many of their tweets are then retweeted by others, thus going viral). If you are into keeping score of your twitter usage and bragging a lot, lots of tools out there can help you. This is probably one of the best so far I have seen.

What Twitter Grader is trying to measure is the power, reach and authority of a twitter account.  In other words, when you tweet, what kind of an impact does it have?

So, let’s go into the factors used by Twitter Grader.  Note:  These are NOT in order of priority or weight (and they’re not all weighted equally — not by a long shot).

1.  Number of Followers: More followers leads to a higher Twitter Grade (all other things being equal).

2.  Power of Followers: If you have people with a high Twitter Grade following you, it counts more than those with a low Twitter Grade following you.

2.  Updates: More updates generally leads to a higher grade — within reason.

3.  Update Recency: Users that are more current (i.e. time elapsed since last tweet is low) generally get higher grades.

4.  Follower/Following Ratio: The higher the ratio, the better.

5.  Engagement: The more a given user’s tweets are being retweeted, the more times the user is being referenced or cited, the higher the twitter grade.

Now is this easy to use? Yes, surprisingly so! Just enter in your twitter username and it takes less than a minute (for me, it make take a bit longer for your account). Give you your rank (lower the number the higher you rank) and the grade of your account. I got a grade of 99.9 out of a hundred. Makes me wonder, anyone got a 100%? Now, since Twitter Grader just takes a username, I guess you can check out those twitters of interest to you to see their grade. Now go and check out your grade.
