Some how, some way, I must of signed up for a service that automatically adds tons of people in my follow column. That’s right, I end up following people that I never approved. Some are porno people (like I would follow some nut pushing porn on twitter?), but most are really people that in the main I would not hunt down and follow on my own.

The hard way of unfollowing this people is to click on the following link under the number of people you are following. Then page by page, going through and clicking remove on all those people you are following. Believe me, I did that at the start and it was okay, but once you start getting over a thousand people you are following, it gets mind numbing, plus makes your fingers hurt, badly!

So is there an easy way to unfollow those you are following? To delete those that you did not approve? Yes, there is. There are several sites out there where you can do the deletion of those you are following or to delete those following you. At the present, the best site I have found to do this tedious job is InRev TwitIn.

You do input your username at the start, then you will have to input your twitter password. They say, like all sites do, that they do not save your password, but take that with a grain of salt. Once done, you will be presented with a list of those you are following that are not following you. It will show you their avatars and names, linked to their profile pages. And how many followers they have. Then you have a choice, click each one you do not want to follow, or just click the All link at the top. It is quick and does the job.

You can also besides flushing out those you follow who do not follow you back, reciprocate by following those who are following you.
