That one is a pure joke! Says it is free and you will get thousands of followers? Boy, do they lie to you and make you believe that lie! I joined 2 weeks ago. To date, not one freaking follower! Though I ended up following about 4 people I would not have followed in any event. Yes, I unfollowed those scammers real fast.  Whether those I followed came from this service of not, I could not tell you.

No, this is not a post about those who are the most followed on twitter, those will hundreds of thousands of followers. I could care less about celebrities or some media company. This post is actually about a free service I am going to be trying out.

It is said to be a way to become one of those most followed on twitter. Doubt if it really will pan out, but for free, I will at least check it out. Again a disclaimer: I really do not like schemes to get followers on twitter. Simply because most do not pan out or they fill you up with spammers, scammers and porn hustlers. I am trying out this service to let you know if it helps me or hurts me.

Now, the basic way this works? Like any good old pyramid scheme. I get five people who follow me who then get 5 people to follow them and so forth down 5 levels. This will or should get me 19,530 followers. Now I have to say, pyramid schemes sound good on paper, but you never see those kinds of numbers. So bottom line for me, just to see what happens. Same with you, if you want to join this scheme to get twitter followers try it and see.

Oh, when you give them your twitter username and password, they will auto tweet an ad for you to get your followers to see the message and join as your unique url will be used.

So in the future, if you do not like the service for any reason, do what I will do: change your password at twitter. That way this service will not be able to access your account anymore. Just to be on the safe side.

Second update: Just stopped my subscription to this service. If you joined as free, you are getting nothing. If you joined for the $1.00 trial, I would tell you to cancel it before the 14 days are up or you will pay $37 just for a service that is in my opinion lousy and certainly not worth $37 a month!

UPDATE: Okay, 3 days later, grand total of 40 followers! So how come people tweet out they are getting 350 per day? Are the stretching the truth? Or is this site do the stretching? Or maybe to get more followers than I have gotten one must pay the full $37 a month? Either way, it does not seem to live up to their and others hype! Another thing I have noticed, I am following people through them that NEVER follow me. Plus I have noticed that most of those people this service sends me, both as followers and following, are just in this program to promote this program on twitter. So, is it worth it? HELL NO! I will be discontinuing my trial of $1.00 before my paypal account is snagged for a $37 payment for nothing. Lesson I learned? If it sounds too good to be true, run away and save time and money.

First a disclaimer from the Iowadawg: I avoid all those follower schemes that promise me hundreds of new followers per day, or thousands, or pick a figure. Mainly for two reasons, one that I am not into numbers (quantity) but into quality of my followers. And two most of those schemes load you up with spammers and porn people, two classes I do not need, either following me or me following them. Now with that said, I found this one today and I am going to be trying it out for a week or so just to see what I get. So don’t call me a hypocrite. Fool maybe, but not that!

This one says you will get lots of followers, no mention I could find of a number, and you can make cash promoting it. Though I could not find what kind of cash you get for doing so. It works a bit on the simple side, you login with your twitter username and password (gawd I hate to do that, but I will to test this system…though if it does not work I will have to change my twitter password to stop this system from accessing my account, something you should keep in mind if you join also). Then you follow everyone now in their system and everyone will follow you. Okay, here goes, I am back to the site now to login and find out. The site is Twitter Followers Users.

Does it seem like to you that every time you get on twitter, people are tweeting a way to get thousands of followers? And if you click on the links given, you find not only the same old schemes, but the same old schemes repackaged? Seems to me that almost daily someone on the internet is opening a new website that purports to get people tons of or thousands of followers on twitter.

Myself, sometime back when I got on twitter, I tried a few of those schemes. Some brought me quite a few followers and some brought me nothing but grief. I think because the owners of some of these schemes have learned that they can build up a huge list of twitters so then they can start spamming the heck out of those twitters. Or from what I have seen, sell advertising, promising advertisers tens of thousands of twitters will get their messages. Now, I leave such schemes alone and leave them to the new people who join twitter, the people who own websites with these schemes or to the marketers who really believe that these schemes will work.

The bottom line to me is this: do I want quality followers or do I want to go for quantity. In other words, people who follow me for who I am and what I tweet out or those who just follow me because they came in on some follower scheme. I want of course the quality of followers as those become my buds, my twitters friends, my true twitter base. Quantity I will leave to those who love to brag how many followers they have and they get every day.

Today I came across another twitter follower scheme. I hate to give free advertising to any such scheme, but I know that there are readers of this blog who enjoy these follower schemes and will be more than happy with me for providing them yet another one to join up.
