I have found that I am following a heck of a lot of people who have never tweeted (posted to twitter) or have not tweeted in the past month or more. Now myself, I kind of hate to unfollow these people in hopes they may get active and start tweeting soon. But I figured those who have not tweeted in 3 or more months might never come back to twitter for any reason and thus why should I still be following them.
Now I have found a few twitter tools that can help me and you in finding these people that I and you follow who just are not actively tweeting. This tool though is pretty fast and efficient when it comes to cleaning out those I and you follow that are really dead quiet now on twitter. Yes, you have to input your twitter username and your twitter password plus select the time period to find those you follow that are not active. So if you are leery about giving your twitter password, yet another tool you may not want to use. Yes, I know quite a few people on twitter who will not use any tool that requires their twitter password. Myself, I take the word of these tools and sites that say they do not store password as some sort of gospel and have no problem giving out my password. One person on twitter came up with a great idea and that was to change the twitter password after each use on these sites. Now that may be the safest way.
The tool today to find those tweeps you are following that have been dead on twitter is called UnTweeps. Like I said, it is fast and efficient in doing the job. Try it out if ever you want to unfollow the ones that are not active any more on twitter.
